Definition of AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence in machines that are programmed to think and learn like humans. The term can also be applied to any machine that exhibits traits associated with a human mind such as learning and problem-solving.

Types of AI

  • Narrow AI (Weak AI): Designed to perform a narrow task (e.g., facial recognition, speech recognition)
  • General AI (Strong AI): Possesses the ability to perform any intellectual task that a human can do
  • Artificial Superintelligence: Surpasses human intelligence in all aspects

AI vs Human Intelligence

  • Learning: Human Intelligence - Natural, intuitive; Artificial Intelligence - Requires training data
  • Creativity: Human Intelligence - Highly creative; Artificial Intelligence - Limited creativity
  • Speed: Human Intelligence - Slower processing; Artificial Intelligence - Very fast processing
